If you currently hold an active SAFe® 6 Scrum Master (SSM) certification, you can upgrade by completing the “Empowering Scrum Masters with AI” SAFe Skill available in the SAFe Skills Library. This is a short, self-paced e-learning module that typically takes about 45 minutes to complete. After successful completion, your certification will automatically be updated to the AI-Empowered SAFe Scrum Master credential, and you will receive a new digital badge.
If your SAFe® 6 Scrum Master certification is currently active, there is no additional cost to upgrade. The required SAFe Skill module is included as part of your membership benefits. However, if your certification has expired, you will need to renew it first to regain access to the SAFe Skills Library and complete the upgrade process.
After completing the upgrade, you will receive the AI-Empowered SAFe Scrum Master certification. Your original SAFe® 6 SSM credential will remain in your certification history. Going forward, you will only need to renew the AI-Empowered SSM certification to maintain your active status.
Currently, there is no fixed deadline for completing the upgrade. Eligible certification holders can complete the required SAFe Skill module at their convenience.
